Budget would be transformation- NDC MP

A member of the Finance Committee of Parliament, is expressing optimism in the 2015 budget statement to be read on the floor of parliament today. imagesHe says, the Statement to be read by the Finance Minister, Mr Seth Tekpeh is expected to be landmark and address the aspirations of the President which has not been met so far. Hon. Gabriel Asirifi, said the budget has no choice than to transform the economy taking into cognisance the short time for the President's term of office to elapse, and ensure victory for his re-election. Hon Asirifi was speaking in an interview with Rainbow Radio International on his expectations of the budget. He said, He disagreed to the notion of the non-performance of the President explaining that, the economic conditions the NDC inherited from the previous administration should be blamed for the current economic woes. 'The challenges are not that of President Mahama, but came to meet it and is addressing it', he said. Noting the gravity of the challenges, the Hon Member said, the President should rather be commended for his achievements.
