Veep calls for more Economic cooperation between Ghana and Japan

The Vice President Amissah-Arthur has lauded the existing relations between Ghana and Japan which has grown from strength to strength in the area of economic cooperation and friendship over the years.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this when the Japanese Ambassador Ghana, Mr. Kaoru Yoshimura Yoshimura called on him to introduce himself as Japan’s new Ambassador to Ghana, at the Flagstaff in Accra on Tuesday At the Flagstaff house in Accra.
He stated it was his determination to reinforce his Ghana’s continued partnership and economic co-operation with Japan, because the potential for the economic relation between Ghana and Japan are huge, especially in the area of financial support which has been very useful
Vice President said that Ghana has enjoyed Japanese support and cooperation over the years in most of its critical sectors, so wished to see it strength and expressed the hope that it would be deepened and strengthened for further economic cooperation, because Japan has been a development partners to Ghana for ages.
The discussion between the two men focused on strengthening economic cooperation.
Ghana and Japan have a long standing relationship which dates back many years ago and has grown with time.
Ambassador Yoshimura, in his brief remarks, thanked the Vice Presiden Kwesi Amissah Arthur for making time of his busy schedule to meet him and praised Ghana a for securing the much-needed investment into the country and ensuring the stabilisation of the macroeconomic environment, as well as reducing the country’s public debt portfolio to sustainable levels.
