Omanhene of Dormaa supports University

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Council has presented equipment, stationery and other logistics for the smooth take-off of the School of Agriculture and Technology of the University of Energy and Natural Resources at Dormaa-Ahenkro.

They include six computers and accessories, six flat screen coloured televisions, and an amount of GH¢200,000.00.

Mr Eric Opoku, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister disclosed this when he delivered a welcoming address at the Government for the People Forum, in Sunyani on Tuesday.

Ministers of state including, Alhaji Collins Dauda, Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, Minister of Road and Transport and Mr Alex Kyeremeh, a Deputy Minister of Education, are expected to address and answer questions from the participants.

Mr Opoku explained that the faculty of Agriculture and Technology had taken off smoothly with the enrolment of 38 new students and gave the assurance that the government would ensure that the required infrastructure development was facilitated to increase enrolment.

He said education, road network, water supply and health had improved significantly while many communities had been hooked unto the national electricity grid.

Mr Opoku said the second phase of the Better Ghana agenda was on course and pleaded with the people to be patient with the government while it worked to alleviate the plight of the people.
