Nuclear expert calls for a Plant in Ghana

Africa produces about forty percent of the world's uranium but only South Africa is making use of it.

As the main resource for nuclear energy generation uranium from the continent is mostly exported to the developed countries.

The Director General of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Professor Benjamin Nyarko questions why African countries including Ghana are not taking advantage of a resource which is propelling development in the advanced countries.
