Kuapa Kokoo Company builds school block for community

Bayerebon No 3 (Ash), Jan 15, GNA - Kuapa Kokoo Limited, a licensed cocoa buying company, has built a block of six classrooms with office, store, library and toilet facilities at the cost of 250 million cedis for the people of Beyerebon No 3 in the Atwima-Mponua District. The company, in conjunction with Miss Karen Bridges of Langtree School from Oxfordshire, England, has started the construction of another three-classroom junior secondary school block estimated at 280 million cedis for the community.

Miss Bridges is contributing 56 million cedis towards the project.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony Mr Kwabena Ohemeng-Tinyase, the Managing Director of Kuapa Kokoo, said the company has provided school infrastructure and boreholes to some communities in its operational area.

Mr Antwi-Boasiako Brobbey, the District Co-ordinating Director, thanked Kuapa Kokoo and appealed to the people to take advantage of capitation grant and the school-feeding programme to send their children to school.
