Why "Alhaji Cocaine" Was Granted Bail

And his son’s threats to tell it all!

The Ghana Palaver newspaper sources have hinted that Alhaji Imoro, one of the suspects in the cocaine scandal and a Manhyia confidante, was released on bail because of threats by his son to ‘tell it all’ if his father was kept in custody.

It will be recalled that following the arrest of Alhaji Imoro, his son, a known-NDC activist, threatened to ‘blow Kumasi apart” if his father was not released. He expressed regret that he was not around when his father was picked up otherwise he would have given the arresting officers some dirty slaps.

At that time, it was thought that Imoro Junior was threatening physical assault. It turned out however that Imoro was threatening verbal assault, that he was going to name names about who and who were involved in the cocaine business and the names were going to be very embarrassing to the Manhyia Palace, to President Kufuor’s Government and to the Police Service. So quickly, a deal was put together.

Alhaji Imoro was made to faint (or was it feint), was rushed to hospital, was discharged, and sent to Kumasi with explicit orders – to shut his son up, So in Kumasi he remains, with his son’s mouth firmly shut. We are not saying that these things are true – we are saying that our sources have picked them up.
