Market ends week active

Accra, March 17, GNA - Market activities on the Accra bourse ended the week on a positive note as the All-Share Index closed trading on Friday gaining 10.15 points to reach 4,759.15 points on the back of heavy gains in Cal Bank Limited (CAL) and Aluworks Ghana Limited (ALW). The Index closed on Thursday at 4,749.00 points. Volume of shares traded was higher at 305,200 compared to 113,000 shares traded at the previous session.

Market capitalisation went up to 91,922.23 billion cedis from 91,895.37 billion cedis with the change in the year to date fixing at -0.21 per cent. On the broader market, there were two price changes - all positive. ALW gained 90 cedis at 8,100 cedis while CAL Bank earned 149 cedis to close at 1,851 cedis.
