NDC UK attempt to disrupt NPP UK meeting backfires badly

The attention of the NPP UK secretariat has been drawn to a publication by the Daily post, citifmonline, Ghanaweb and newsghana.com that a group of so called NPP members and Concerned Ghanaians protested against the Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo when he attended the NPP UK Monthly General Meeting at the Dominion Centre on Sunday, 26/08/15. The publication is absolutely false and should be treated with all the contempt it deserves. All our members in the United Kingdom are loyal ,committed and solidly behind Nana Akufo Addo –Addo to win the next election in 2016.
The secretariat can state emphatically that none of the people paid to hold placards hours before the meeting started are members of the party. This was just a desperate attempt by the government to use the NDC UK and Ireland led by its Organiser using a false name of Nana Kwasi Effah and masquerading as NPP members to turn the attention of Ghanaians from the bad state of affairs in the country.
This however failed miserably when they walked away feeling dejected after observing hundreds of Ghanaians pouring into the venue to listen to the Presidential Candidate speak long before the meeting even started. This is a severe embarrassment to President John Mahama. It is mind boggling that a sitting government faced with so many problems confronting our people such as unemployment, power cuts and corruption among several others will use its agents abroad to demonstrate against an opposition party instead of soliciting ideas from them to help solve the country’s problems.
The highly successful meeting saw Nana Addo repeat the call the new chair of the electoral commission to take urgent steps to initiate the process of preparing a new voters’ register ahead of the 2016 election. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako, who also spoke at the meeting noted that the NDC cannot stop the will of the people to hand power back to the NPP in 2016 for transformation of the country, adding ‘this is NPP time’.
NPP UK assures all Ghanaians it remains committed and focused on supporting Nana Akufo-Addo and the entire NPP party achieve its aim of winning Election 2016 and no amount of intimidation would deter it.
