Ghanaian couple in Maryland loses son to fire blaze.

Tragedy visited a young couple in the Gaithersburg area when fire destroyed their home and took along with it their four year old son, Lancelot Nii Armah Quarshie.

This sad incident happened on Wednesday January 8 2014 at about 4:pm when fire broke out in one of the units of the Cider Mills apartment complex

Mr. Samuel Quarshie (Lester) who was then taking a nap with his two kids woke to too late rescue one of them. Unfortunately he could not go back into the apartment to rescue his son because of the thick black smoke emanating from the room.

Funeral arrangements have been made as follows: Saturday January 18 2014, burial service at Hosanna Methodist church, 14 Brookes Ave, Gaithersburg, 20877 The service starts at 10.00 am and ends at 11.00 am. This will immediately be followed by burial at the All Souls cemetery in Germantown , 11401 Brink Rd, Germantown , MD 20876(301) 428-1995.

After the burial the family, friends and sympathizers will retire to the Hosanna Methodist church for a repast The Quarshie and Kusi families will like to extend an invitation to all Ghanaians in and around the metro area to come and mourn with them at this critical time in their lives. All are welcome.
