US-based Old students of Kumasi SHS support clinic project

The United States branch of the Kumasi Senior High School (SHS) Old Students Association has donated cash of 3,700 US Dollars to support a clinic project being undertaken at the school premises in Kumasi.

The project which is about fifty per cent complete is expected to bolster healthcare delivery for the benefit of students and staff of the school when completed.

The clinic has facilities such as an Out-Patient-Department and Dispensary Section, Consulting Room, Admission Wards and offices.

Dr Akwasi Boateng-Duah, also known as George, an Executive Member of the Association, who presented the money, enumerated how beneficial their attending the school had been to their career, character and educational development.

The old students, he said, could not have been appreciative of the efforts of the management and board than contribute their quota for the completion of the project.

Dr Boateng-Duah said the Association would continue to mobilize resources to undertake other development projects to facilitate teaching and learning in the school.

Mr Peter Owusu Mensah, President of the Association, thanked his colleagues for the gesture and stressed the need for stakeholders to be committed to the school’s development saying about 60,000 Ghana Cedis was needed to complete the project.**
