Rejoinder: NDC Atlanta Congratulates Amissah Arthur

Our attention has been drawn to the above captioned article published on ghanaweb yesterday, August 6, 2012. While members of NDC Atlanta are happy with the confirmation of H.E. Amissah Arthur as the Vice President of Ghana and commend whoever the authors of this article are, we want to state that this article did not come from our Chapter. We believe that the authors or the publishers or wherever the error came from could have saved the situation by using the appropriate caption.



Reading through this piece, it is quite obvious that NDC Atlanta or their representatives are not responsible for this piece since, among other issues, the authors keep mentioning BGF and we are not sure what that meant. NDC Atlanta does not have any Media Liaison Officer and Convener as positions within our Executive membership, as indicated by the authors. Furthermore, the contact numbers provided by the authors represent mobile phone numbers in Ghana but not Atlanta, USA.



We congratulate President Mahama on ascension to the highest Office of the land and also for nominating Mr. Amissah Arthur as his vice. But the article did not come from NDC Atlanta. We thought of correcting this error just to set the record straight and also protect ourselves against any future use of our Chapter’s name by any other interest groups or for some unknown purposes.
