NDC NY Proud Of Mahama's Debate Performance

NDC NEW YORK VERY PROUD OF THE PRESIDENT’S DEBATE PERFORMANCE.
The membership of the NDC New York branch remains elated and very proud of
the outstanding performance of President Mahama during the recent IEA
debate in Tamale, Ghana. The event which continues to be watched by thousands of
Ghanaians in the diaspora via the internet saw President Mahama emerging
clearly as the candidate with the most well informed answers to the problems
of our beloved country, Ghana.
The President in a calm and very presidential manner listed the
unprecedented achievements of the NDC in the sectors crucial to the development of
Ghana; the sectors are education, health, agriculture, energy and economy
among others. Juxtaposed against the performance of the NPP flag bearer the
President looked very professional, detailed and mature as against Nana Addo
Danquah Akuffo- Addo who looked overly aggressive, and always out of time
when he had to present the case for his presidential bid. The NPP
Presidential candidate had a whimsical approach to most of the sectors he tried to
speak about, he offered few details of how his plans will be implemented. Nana
Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo’s simplistic approach to governance, has earned
him the nickname “NADAA” a rough Spanish translation which means nothing or
naught from many Ghanaians abroad. Asked about his policy for education
NADAA waxed on and on about Free SHS(Ghanaians no that whatever the problems
beguile the SHS system they are not the only problem of the educational
sector) again when asked about his policy for the Health sector NADAA only
spoke about the NHIS scheme in both instances NADAA overused his time.
President Mahama was however very personable in his delivery on education he spoke
about the NDC’s achievements and policies which span across the length and
breadth of the sector. Again when it was his time to speak, the President
used his time efficiently and addressed all aspects of the health sector
including the future of the NHIS, equipment for the Hospitals already
purchased and in use and plans to train more professionals for the health sector
as a result of the newly established university in Ho, Volta Region.
The NDC New York Branch remains encouraged by the leadership of President
Mahama, the achievements of the Better Ghana Agenda and the policies
espoused by the President and the party’s manifesto.
