'Kennedy Agyapong Resting His Cannons But...'

From: Stephen A.Quaye, Toronto-Canada.

Some Ghanaians living in Canada who are hoping to see the New Patriotic Party [NPP] forming the next government, have advised the party's executives to rule out insults in their electioneering campaigns.

Being particular about it, they appealed to the Member of Parliament MP for Asin Central Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, to try as much as possible to rule out insults in his speeches to ensure that the party's message sells better to electorates.

The NPP sympathizers gave the advice when they met with Mr. Kennedy Agyapong and Mr. Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus-Glover, MP for Tema East, as well as other party executives of the Toronto-Chapter on August 16, 2015.

The occasion was a Town Hall Meeting which was organized by the Toronto chapter of the NPP to give Ghanaians resident in the Greater Toronto Area [GTA] in Canada, the opportunity to discuss the socio economic issues in Ghana.

Contributing after the two main guests speakers have spoken, speaker after speaker expressed concern about the rate at which insults or harsh words are taking over discussions instead of truth and hard facts.
The NPP sympathizers observed that most often, it is the NDC communicators who issue insulting statements to provoke NPP speakers to derail them from speaking the truth and providing hard core evidence for that.

But they advised the NPP executives, spokespersons, MP's and even ordinary members to desist from using insults even when they are provoked by their NDC propagandists.

Smiling whiles listening to the concerns being raised, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, later responded by assuring the sympathizers that he will drum home the party's campaign message more than anything else.

He noted that since NPP'S 2016 presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo pleaded for calm in the party, he has tone down because he respect the party's leaders.

But he won't cease to be plain and simple when issues raised demands that he speaks out the truth and does not matter how the truth will insults and hurt somebody.

Kennedy Agyapong hinted that he was going to concentrate more on devising campaign strategies to help the NPP win power at all cost come 2016.

"I will not take it lightly with anyone who attacks the integrity of the party and that of Nana Akuffo Addo just to scatter his chances of becoming the next president, that my cannons will shoot them down trust me" he assured all.

Again he thanked the contributors, for their concerns adding, "I have listen to them and will work with it so that you can also work with me and other party executives and MP's to ensure that NPP emerges victorious come 2016."

End.
