Ghanaweb, 22 Ghanaians To Be Honored In Toronto

....on October 4.

On the 3rd of October 2003, the Ghanaian-Canadian community will gather in Toronto to recognize and honor the efforts and achievements of individuals and groups in their community. This will be the fourth consecutive event dubbed the Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awards.

The event, hosted by the Ghanaian News Canada, will celebrate the excellence of individuals professionals, youth, business persons, community-spirited persons, academics, sports men/women, entertainers, cultural and religious groups/individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the Ghanaian community in particular and the Canadian society as a whole.

Those to be honored will include Joseph Annan (Community Business), Mary Fosu (Entrepreneurship), Yaw Obeng (Education), Nana Wiafe Akenten (Cultural Promotion) and Dr. Sam Kwofie (Community Services). The GhanaHomePage@Ghanaweb CEO - Francis Akoto - who will be at the event, will receive a Special Award.

In attendance at the Luna Ballroom, 30 Gordon MacKay Rd. (Jane/Hwy 400) during this 4the Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awards will be dignitaries from the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels as well as from our community and the general public.
