Couple assists church

Nkawie (Ash), Nov 24, GNA A Ghanaian married couple based in the United Kingdom had presented Christian literature and five computers and accessories to a Retreat and Spiritual Renewal Centre, at Nkawie in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.
Nana Kwame Baafi Boateng and Mrs Georgina Baafi Boateng told GNA that the donation of the equipment and reading materials that valued about GH¢3,000.00 , was to promote the study of Information and Communication Technology at the facility being operated by the Anglican Church at Nkawie . Nana Boateng, a pharmacist and Atipimhene of New-Juaben in the Eastern Region, pledged continued assistance for the church.
The couple had over the past five years donated computers and accessories, textbooks and other education materials to some schools in Ashanti and the Eastern Regions.
The beneficiaries included Jumapo and Dromankuma Anglican Basic Schools, Asante-Mampong Saint Monica’s Senior High School and the Mampong Babies Home. The Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, who received the donation, praised the couple for their contribution to the development of the church. Rev Father Daniel Kwabena Pieh, Rector of the Centre, also thanked the couple for the gesture.
