Asanteman Council of North America Celebrates Asante Day in Cincinnati

.

The Asanteman Council of North America (ACONA) celebrates the 2016 Asante Day at RAMADA Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th. It is being hosted by the Asanteman Association of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio which is the home of the ACONA President, Nana Adu Poku.. The Asante Day is an annual event organized by ACONA, which is the umbrella organization that coordinates the activities of the various Asanteman associations in North America which comprises the United States and Canada. ACONA has been supported by the MANHYIA PALACE since it's inception, which dates back in the early eighties. For that matter, ACONA has received BLESSINGS from OTUMFUO.

Customarily, the Saturday, September 3rd events would be exclusively cultural, while the Sunday, September 4th would be for congressional or delegate meeting during the day and a fundraising dinner dance will crown the occasion in the evening. A very reliable source indicates that ACONA is poised to unveil a major long term project during the dinner dance. This would be a bold step moving forward as ACONA's roadmap to support development projects in Ghana, especially in the Ashanti region.

Current members of ACONA participating in the Asante Day Celebration are as follows:
The Asanteman Association of Toronto, Canada. The Asanteman Association of Chicago and Midwest. The Asanteman Association of Southern California. The Asante Kroye Kuo of Greater Houston, Texas.
The Asanteman Association of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. The Asanteman Association of the Carolinas Charlotte, North Carolina. The Asanteman Association of Columbus, Ohio. The Asanteman Association of Tennessee. The Asanteman Cultural Association of Quebec, Montreal, Canada. The Asanteman Association of Worcester, Massachusetts. The Asante Unity Association, Washington Metro Area.
Dr. Agyenim Boateng, a former Assistant Attorney General of the State of Kentucky, and also one of the founding members of ACONA, would be the Keynote speaker, who is expected to officially unveil the project.
Nana Yaw Marfo of Chicago, ACONA's Public Relations Officer, as the M.C. of the occasion is fully geared up to display his proficiency as usual.

NANANOM of ACONA in conjunction with the Secretariat, headed by Professor Samuel Kwaku Agyeman Duah is urging members as well as the general public to attend this event in their numbers.
