12th Annual Ghanaian-Canadian Awards in Toronto

The 12th Annual Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awards Dinner and Dance, will be held on Sunday September 23rd, 2012 at 65 Claireport Convention and Banquet Hall, (Albion/Steeles) in (Etobicoke) Toronto.at 5:30p.m The Event Dubbed “Tribute to our Achievers” was instituted by The Ghanaian News to recognize and honor individual Ghanaian-Canadians and groups who have excelled or achieved honors in their fields of endeavor.

The Ghanaian News, prestigious Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awards is 12 years old this year, and one of the awardees on Sunday will be a 22 year old George Akwasi Gyabaah Anderson politician from Nanaimo, B.C. He is just one of the 35 Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awardees, whose achievements will be highlighted at the awards dinner, to be held at Claireport Banquet and Convention Centre, 65 Claireport Place. Dignitaries who will be attending the expected mammoth gathering will include the Ghana High Commissioner designate to Canada H.E. Samuel Valis-Akyianu, some members of the African Diplomatic Corps and representatives from the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels, community leaders, cultural groups, church members and the general public.

There will be an interlude of African cultural Display, and music by various groups.

A modest fee of $50 per person is being charged at the Gate. Block Table purchases of 10 persons (reserved) per table for $400 is also available on request.
