A 21- year- old air condition repairer who defiled his elder brother’s two daughters at Osu on Thursday appeared before an Accra Circuit Court.

Daniel Tawiah Latsey, charged with defilement pleaded guilty.

The court presided over by Ms Patricia Quansah convicted Daniel on his own plea.

The court however deferred his sentence to November 27 and ordered that Latsey be remanded into Police custody.

Latsey contended that he did not insert his penis into the victims’ female organs.

According to him he wriggled his waist while lying on the victims and after discharging some sperms, he allowed them to go their way.

Prosecuting Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah said the complainant is a 38- year hotel supervisor, who resides at Osu in Accra.

The victims reside with the complainant who is also their biological father. The convict resides with the complainant in the same room.

Prosecution said the nature of the work of the complainant and his wife does not allow them to stay in the house very often.

ASP Acquah said Daniel, who took care of the victims, therefore took advantage of the absence of the complainant and his wife and had sexual intercourse with them.

On November 15, this year at about 9:00pm, Daniel had sex with the victims again. One of the victims who is eight years old informed her mother who in turn reported the case to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of Ghana Police Service.

Prosecution said medical forms were issued to the victim for medical examination and treatment.
