Murder suspect remanded in prison custody

The assembly member for the Dipa electoral area in the Nanumba north district of the Northern region who allegedly murdered two people has been remanded in prison custody.

Obed Ndoyela is reported to have opened fire on the victims after they accused his mother of being a witch.

In an interview with Citi News, the Crime Officer for Bimbilla district police, ASP Owusu Dwomor said a docket will soon be sent to the AG’s department for advice.

“As at now, three people are dead but the other one who was sent to Bimbilla has been treated and discharged. The accused has been remanded into prison custody and investigations are ongoing. The matter will however be forwarded to the Attorney General’s office for further advise,” he stated.
