Two persons specialized in car snatching among other criminal activities have been arrested by police from their hideout at Krofrom, a suburb in the Kumasi metropolis.

The suspects, Phillip Kwadwo Danso,28 and Kwadwo Asamoah Daniel,30 robbed their victim Chinese national at a gunpoint in the mining town of Obuasi.

Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah told journalists at a press briefing that the suspects made a away unregistered saloon and later placed a fake number plate on it.

“Police received a distressed call from the victim he had been robbed of his unregistered saloon car at gunpoint and we gave suspects a hot chase and arrested of them”

“Kwaku Asare, their leader tried to escape so we shot him dead” DCOP Ken Yeboah revealed.



“We conducted search in their rooms at their respective home and we retrieve pump action guns, mobile phones, SIM cards, pinch bar and other deadly weapons we believe they use in perpetrating crimes”

The Regional Commander stated that police the suspect will be arraigned before court on various charges including possessing weapons without lawful authority and robbery.
