MMM is no different from the existing lobbyist groups. However MMM is not an affiliate of any political party but a friend of the media.
It is indisputable and panoramic that, Journalism is a profession for the professionals who are trained, nourished and imbibed with the academics of the profession but not for the orators, eloquent, protocol, hierarchies, politicians etc.

MMM has come to safeguard the interest, piece and treasures earned Ghana against the twist of proper or selfless journalism. This had been Informative, educative and entertaining journalism to improper or greed journalism. Inflammatory, personal and self centered journalism which is poised to obliterate the state.
In this vain, we are talking about: informative, educative and entertaining journalism.
Under this is inflammatory, money and self-centered journalism.
AIM / OBJECTIVE
The prime aim of MMM is to lobby the Ministry of Information, the National Communication Authority, the National Media Commission, Media owners, Journalism Institutions, Programme Directors and Editors of the various media organizations and other media related organizations and institutions to thoroughly scrutinize programmes, discussions, talks, music, phone-ins, text messages and the bulk of channels/means through which message is spoken on the media, especially, radio, TV and print to weed off any comments, messages and gestures that would possibly stir and inflame passion and ensure that:
i. Professionalism and ethical standards are the bases for reportage, speech, talk, discussions and news to avoid gestures that could twist the state.
ii. Their functions and roles reflect the laws and ethics of the profession.
iii. Mass communicators do not entertain insults, derogatory remarks, jokes, sarcasms, Provocations and gestures that are treacherous on their programmes.
iv. Speech, talk, release, phone-ins, test messages and music are edited before aired.
v. Programme directors and editors request for programme synopsis from on-air staff, message content from visitors who walk-in the studio and sit behind the console to edit and give them briefings on professionalism.
These aims of MMM is to ensure, restore and sustain the possible peace Ghana has enjoyed from time immemorial to date. MMM has envisaged that apathy and grieve resulting from internecine and civil war can bedevil Ghana by the actions and inactions of the broadcasters hence the need to preclude the catalyst.
One might think that MMM is infringing on the freedom of speech and the press. One should not forget or misconstrue that freedom of expression does not connote freedom of insult, provoke, inflame, incite to engender conflicts rather, to express ones views, concerns and comments on national issues and nation building.
MMM has wide range of members countrywide to monitor programmes of the media organizations and report those who in the cause of discharging their duties as fore-elaborated to MMM office of his/her reach or call immediately to the following numbers:

MECHANISM FOR WIPING THE ROT
Stage 1 Ã?Â¢?? MMM shall inform Nation Communication Authority (NCA), National Media Commission (NMC), Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), Ministry of Information (MOI) etc. to redress the situation.
Stage 2 Ã?Â¢?? If stage one fails to operate to the wish of media monitoring movement (MMM) and to the interest of the Nation at large MMM shall stage a demonstration against the presenter, the station of which he/she represents and authorities in general for necessary action to be taken. This is aim at purifying, sanitizing, and reinstating the prestige and the significance of information dissemination.
MMM doors are open to citizens and non-citizens of Ghana from 18years and above. Interesting parties should pick a form at GHÃ??Ã?Â¢2.00 only.

A. INFORMING THE PEOPLE
About Government and Governance.
Reporting on how many projects commissioned a day, the current projects embarking upon by the Metropolitan Chief Executives (MCES, Municipal Chief Executives (MCES)and District Chief Executives(DCE) and Ministers of state etc.
B. EDUCATING THE PEOPLE
On Government policies, rule of law, educational reforms and programmes, the roles and functions of public and civil servants, day to day activities of public and civil servants, why incessant water shortages, blackouts, fuel and gas shortages, the causes of school fees soaring, the problems and possible solutions of school placement saga, how effective is National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Youth employment, the school shift system what are the causes and how can it be remedied etc.
C. ENTERTAINING THE PEOPLE
Organizing speeches, symposium, quiz, street carnival, dancing competition, music shows devoid of profanities.
D. INFLUENCING SOCIAL CHANGE
Lobbying the Government to:
construct good roads; make equitable distribution of National cake; effective and judicious use of infrastructure state fund and natural resources; providing educational facilities; accessibility of admissions into schools of choice; extending educational facilities into every part of the country without considering only the cities and towns; availability of electricity to every parts of the country; providing streetlights along pavements, armed robbery prone areas, darker places and along highways to reduce high rate of evil activities; taking much concern on the welfare of ex-servicemen, the physically challenged, the aged and unemployed citizens; implementing scholarship schemes for the brilliant but needy students; mechanism that would check and control ill-gotten and doubtful riches; limiting the freedom of the security agencies, especially, the police, to shoot and kill human beings on the pretext of combating crime; empowering educational institutions to discipline pupils and students to curb the upsurge of immorality raging the state; providing long term driving education for the want to be drivers to avoid road calamities and deaths resulting mainly from reckless driving; discipline and entrench the police officer diploid on the road to check driving improprieties but extort illegal monies from the offending driver; monitoring, criticizing and reporting corruptible practices of public officials both in government and private; throwing the spotlight on those who operate in the dark to expose them; making constructive criticisms on judgments, judges and the judicial dispensation etc. by exhibiting high sense of professionalism within the frame work of ethical standards.
Making known to the people the number of political parties, founders, members and offices across the country. Reporting the day to day activities of political parties and politicians which centers on the interest of the state but not to the benefit of the party and member hood.
Politicians are not journalist who should run and present radio programmes, media owners should not allow that when they are not employees of the organization; politicians should not usurp the functions of the trained journalist but should be mindful of their political tendencies.
CONFERRING PRESTIGE ON INDIVIDUALS
Let the people know about Mr. Ã?Â¢??AÃ?Â¢?? who is helping his/her community to progress; Madam Ã?Â¢??FÃ?Â¢?? who has bought football jersey for Afro Boys football club; John Ã?Â¢??KÃ?Â¢?? who rescued the drowning man so that others emulate such patriotic feeling and gesture.
Journalist/Mass Communicators should avoid highlighting and hyping inflammatory speeches, talks, actions and gestures which could lead to civil disturbance.
Media owners should provide delay systems to monitor and assess callers and their intended messages to help block the chances of those that can pose treat to the nationÃ?Â¢??s piece.
Test messages should be edited thoroughly.
Avoid panic reportage when reporting elections.
Qualified and good communicators are ought to be invited on radio programmes and also, the programmes directors and presenters should direct and control their messages and how to comport themselves at the studio to avoid legal suits and national disorders.
Journalist, Moderators and presenters of programmes should not allow their offices be disrespected by any caliber of person who so wish to be hosted on their programme Ã?Â¢?? the only way of preserving decorum and sanity in executing their sovereign responsibility.
G.E.S / National Accreditation board must be proactive in the discharge of their duties and awarding of certificates and accreditations. Some quack journalism schools are desensitizing the prestige earned the journalism profession since the time immemorial
