GSE continues to slide

Accra, Feb. 28, GNA - The main benchmark of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) continued to slide in trading on Monday as the bourse continues to struggle to find its robust form.

Another significant loss of Aluworks Limited brought the GSE All-Share Index down by 3.09 points at 6,737.21 points from Friday's close of 6,740.30 points. Change for the year slipped further at -0.90 per cent from -0.86 per cent on Friday. Shares traded closed better at 346,800 from 201,100 on Friday. Aluworks, the only loser on the day, sank by 250 cedis at 6,250 cedis.

There were two price gains - Camelot went up by 90 cedis at 1,290 cedis and Patterson Zochonis was 50 cedis better 5,400 cedis. Market capitalisation closed lower at 97,448.40 billion cedis from 97,456.83 billion cedis on Friday.
