We need peace. I wonder what will happen if there was gold on our land. We need to protect our land but in a peaceful manner.

From the picture, the workers are not adequately protected and the salt will damage their skin. Also the possibility of getting high blood pressure from excessive salt intake is very high.

Failure by the Kessington Salt Factory at Adina to implement its original plan of ?rawing sea water to produce salt on large scale has been the problem why the people of Adina continue to protest against the company. The company since its inception has been drawing salt-water underground for salt production which has resulted in the drying-up and increased salination of all fresh-water wells in the community and surrounding communities. Currently, our people don't get fresh water from the existing ground wells for consumption and other useful activities. This indeed is the crux of matter our people are grappling with at Adina and the surrounding villages. It is important that the Salt Company sits down with the political and opinion leaders and think through these real issues at stake and try to find workable solutions to them. There are some local chiefs at both Adina and Agbozume sides who are dabbling negatively in the matter with the Salt Company for selfish and wicked ends detrimental to the life of their own people. Our people know some of these chiefs as very selfish and greedy in hunting for money. These chiefs are very much aware that the people know them as they are mentioned in their demonstrations and protests against the company.
