Mr. Veep don't expect any thing good to come out of this meetings whn all the stake holders can do is to meet in big hotels Dinny and wine and keep postponing meets for almost twenty years. Garbage in garbage out until you the leaders of ECOWAS pratictsing what you preach. I will not be surprised if for the next twenty years ahead of us its still going to be postponement of meetings which that is what our ECOWAS leaders are good at when its come to this single currency.

I can't wait to see a single currency for all of Africa.
With an uniform monetary policy, anchored by a reserve currency-backed by a basket of our vital mineral resources - and an African Central Bank whose open market operations would control world- wide interest rates, the continent can pursue it's long awaited economic take-off.
I am optimistic about the future of the continent. Why? Because the structures needed to propel it into the future is being put in place.
It's the vision thing. And of course, there's also a need for great leaders who would not only think of today but would not forget, to think also, about tomorrow.
That being said, the baby steps being taken in the Ecowas region is laudable. But the process of it's implementation should be coordinated with an ultimate convergence with a broader Pan African single currency.
It's doable. For, who would have thought that a single man with a faith in humanity and a zeal to liberate it from bondage could have done so short of force of arms. For, as one of the greatest men of African descent - Adam Clayton Powell, Jr once preached the sermon, " What's in your hand?".... " There was such a man, and with that accomplishments, divided the modern era into BC and AD. "
So, Africa, "what's in our hand ?"
So, let's not be cynical and refuse to believe that our tomorrows would be better
There is hope. Chin up, Africa.
