Birim Central to hold farmers' day at Aboabo

This year’s farmers’ day celebration in the Birim Central Municipality will be held at Akyem Aboab, Mr Anthony K. Prah, the Municipal Agriculture Director, has said.

He told the GNA in an interview that the celebration would be held on December 5 under the theme “Eat what you grow” and farms of 18 farmers nominated for award are being inspected.

“Items to be presented to the hardworking farmers will be provided by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly”, he said.

Mr Prah said heads of departments and about five Senior High Schools (SHS) in the municipality would be invited to the function and appealed to the general public to let their presence be felt at the event to boost the morale of farmers to continue to “feed the nation”.
