What is going on has nothing to do with "food security". It is all about a rich multinational corporation called MONSANTO which has seen a lot of money to extort through the genetically modified seeds. It does not provide food security. Last years crop failure in the US is the latest evidence. It is no substitute for food as the study of the health effects of these Frankenstein foods are actively discouraged by the powers that be!

FOREIGN ADVICE IS GOOD BUT HAS LIMITATIONS. What is good in one country may not be good in another. I suggest MARKETTING ON LARGE SCALE would increase production IF ENTREPRENEURS ARE AVAILABLE TO DO SO. ENCOURAGING LOCAL PRODUCTION IS BETTER THAN REGIONAL COPERATION OF FOOD PRODUCTION & MARKETTING taking into consideration the transport cost added to the market price to soar consumer price at low production areas in need suggetsed by the AMBASSADOR is FOOD FOR THOUGHT. FOOD IS NOT LACKING IN GHANA BUT THE COST that makes imported food cost less than locally produced food. THE SOLUTION TO HIGH COST OF FOOD is LARGE SCALE MARKETTING that goes beyond Ghanaian level of business knowledge.

How can we sit down in a country ALWAYS BOASTING as GATEWAY TO Africa,98% population with ACCESS to mobile Phone BUT lacking good drinking water, with high infancy death, raw sewage in OPEN GUTTERS, malaria killing THOUSANDS yearly....and keep on CHEST-THUMPING for WHAT ???
Let's ENDEAVOUR AT LEAST TO FEED OUR POPULATION and STOP BEGGING for GMO-Food etc.
China with her 1,3 BILLION population....when was the LAST TIME China BEGGED for FOOD for the population??? Not everybody will own a CAR, but everybody will HAVE TO EAT!!!

We all know that America makes a lot of its money from grain exports and that there is also no oil to be gained from CORN yet they sell us CORN OIL....imangine how many corn grains will have ot be pressed to get even a bottle of CORN OIL!
Ambassador Cretz...if you are really just advising, thanks a lot but if you mean we should take GMO and help American grain farmers et al recover by way of budgetary concessions via export financing under your budget, then thanks a lot but no thanks
Please wake up AFRICANS. DO NOT ALLOW GMO PLEASE
