After offering life changing opportunity to participants to share their skills, time and energy with selected Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and communities around the country, Vodafone Foundation has wrapped up the third edition of its World of Difference programme.
50 participants were given the opportunity to spend two months with their chosen beneficiaries so they could implement the change they seek in and around their communities.
From November 2012, participants have worked in varying sectors to improve and enrich lives, some of these have include health and wellbeing, personal development among women and children, catering and vocational training, childcare and development , waste management, agriculture, ICT training and development and much more.
Through the World of Difference Programme, participants such as Sarah Nsiah worked with Strength of Women Foundation, an NGO that focuses on women’s health issues, poverty reduction, malaria education and reduction.
She worked tirelessly to educate and reduce malaria cases to near zero with great effect in the region of Ho, where community members are better informed with a noticeable reduction in malaria cases.
Other participants with life changing outcomes was Baffour Akwasi Agyemang whose many years of giving blood to the people that needed it most spurred him to work with the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in building a digitized blood bank system which revolutionized the way in which people gave and received blood.
Samuel Kudzawu’s journey of fighting the global killer namely Tuberculosis was a heartfelt journey of which he raised awareness within the community of Esikuma Odobeng-Brakwa district by using public health facilities, creating advocacy locally with council members and youth forums as well as building a functioning TB lab which help reduce TB cases in his district.

In its third year running, the World of Difference programme has positively transformed communities with impactful and sustainable projects across the country by supporting participants with resources needed to execute their life changing projects.
