Novogaming opens for business

Novogaming Ghana, a member of the Novomatics Group of Companies, has launched its world-class premier Star Lounge to offer gaming products and services to clients in the country.

The launch is the first in West Africa and will offer employment to more than 500 Ghanaians over the next three years, said Chris Brammar, Managing Director.

He said the company’s offering will be a sell-out, especially with an expanding economy that is set to give people more income with which they will seek entertainment.

Ms. Jennifer Attah, Administrator for Novogaming, said the games will be played with vouchers that will be issued to patrons -- and their wins credited to their “cards”.

She said the company will expand its gaming centres to other locations in the capital city and the regions, which will increase the avenues of entertainment for the population.

According to Mr. Brammar, this expansion will increase the company’s initial capital injection of US$1.5million to US$5million.

Novogaming Ghana, he said, intends to promote responsible, professional gaming in the industry, and to attend to customers professionally by offering guidance on their limits of play.

Headquartered in Lower Austria, the Novomatic Group of Companies is one of the largest integrated conglomerates of the international gaming industry. It had a turnover of €3billion last year.

Founded in 1980, the group comprises affiliated companies in 32 countries and exports high-tech gaming equipment to more than 73 countries. It operates over 200,000 gaming machines in 1,200 group operations such as casinos and electronic casinos, as well as via rental concepts.

The group holds production facilities, research and development centres in Germany, Great Britain, South America, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. Novomatic employs about 18,000 staff worldwide.
