Former WBC Super Featherweight Champion Professor Barima Azumah Nelson has said that to become a World Champion in boxing is easy but the ability for one to stay on top for at least four years is what makes the difference.
The boxing hall of famer who visited the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Brazil 2014 on Thursday as a friend of Kenpong Travel and Tours told www.sports24gh.com that, " To become a champion in boxing is not difficult at all but how to maintain it up there is what makes one different."
On why Ghana boxing is sinking the former Champion said, "We have very strong boys in the country but being strong is not good enough for one to become a World Champion because boxing is an art so I believe the boys needs to go through proper training."
"I think boxing can come back to the light but our coaches needs to do more because boxing is full of techniques and the government also needs to provide the necessary support to the industry," he added.
