The various subcommittees of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) will be sworn into office at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium at 2pm on Thursday.
The GBA board, headed by Peter Zwennes, has formed 12 subcommittees besides the three persons – J.A. Annan, Felix Quartey and Ataa Eddie Pappoe – who have been co-opted onto the board.
The committees to be inaugurated include Promotions, Ratings, Medical, Disciplinary/Arbitration, Marketing/Sponsorship and Welfare.
The others are Finance, Technical, Legal, Appeal, Council of Patrons and Public Relations.
The GBA co-opted Annan, Quartey and Pappoe on the basis of their varied experiences in boxing over the years.
Annan, who also chairs the Technical Committee of the GBA, is a retired referee/judge with more than three decades of experience, while Quartey has carried over his position as chair of the legal committee from the previous regime.
