I’ll deliver more world titles for Ghana – Tagoe

Reigning IBO Lightweight champion, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe (27-1,6 KO’s) has expressed his determination to deliver more world titles for Ghana.

The Ghanaian boxer, defeated South Africa’s Mzonke Fana (49-11, 16 K0’s) last Friday in a bout that saw all three Judges scoring the the bout 120-106, 120-106 , 120-106 in favour of Tagoe.

According to the Champion, he is not in a jubilant mood with his recent victory, but he is focused on building Ghana’s reputation on the World boxing scene.

He said: ” I’m focused on delivering more world titles for Ghana,I’m delighted by winning this Title, but am not in a jubilant mode, because my high ambitions
in boxing which have not yet being reached, ” Tagoe told Peace Fm.

He added: ” My management team are in talks with the WBA, and am hoping to deliver that title next year,” he ended.

Meanwhile, his fellow compatriots, Richard Commey failed in his quest to deliver another World title for Ghana, after he lost to Denis Shafikov (38-2-1, 20 KO) in a split decision loss.
