WBO Africa bantamweight titlist Duke Micah (17-0, 16 KO’s) has kept local fans waiting long enough.

Now based in the U.K., the prodigal son will make the first defense of his title against Nigeria’s Yaqub Kareem (14-4-1, 8 KO’s) on August 6th at Accra Sports Stadium.

The card, put together by Michael Amoo-Bediako’s U.K.-based Streetwise Promotions, will feature several attractive undercard bouts. Isaac Aryee (23-8, 22 KO’s) and Ben Ankrah (17-17, 8 KO’s) will bump heads for the national featherweight title.

There will be a rematch between welterweights Kpakpo Allotey (8-0, 7 KO’s) and Aziz Quartey (9-1, 9 KO’s). Allotey defeated Quartey last December via split decision.

Featherweight prospect Patrick Ayi (16-0, 11 KO’s), who defeated Edward Kambasi last Friday via KO in four, will also be featured on the card.

And super featherweight Felix Ajom (2-0-1, 2 KO’s) returns after a controversial draw against Sheriff Quaye last month.

Finally, Raphael Kwabena King (8-0, 7 KO’s) will take on Abraham Afful (7-2, 7 KO’s) in a super lightweight contest.
