Black Bombers fight for slot for 2015 All African Games

The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation has orgnised a selection competition to pick the best boxers who would represent Ghana at the up coming All African Games in Congo.
National coach Ofori Asare told our truly time was not on their side, so they had to put up the competition at short notice to the clubs, however most of the boxers from the Greater Accra Region, the home f the sport were present and hey fought very well.
Coach Asare praised the boxers for their performance and realized that most of them were hungry for success and want to se the international event as a spring board for greatness.
He was optimistic that Ghana will do well at the Games. “You know Ghana always present good boxers and we are going to d it again. Trust Ghana Black Bombes, we are going for medals, that all” he said.
For the results, Welterweight division Joshua Abubakar Quartey won a 2-1 split decision over Sulley Mathias Ngua. Musa Rahman Lawson lost via TKO vs Derrick Addotey.
Gabriel Quao beat Emmanuel Gbedemah in their lightweight bout Light Welterweight Azumah Mohammed in won against Sheiku Samir Welterweight Shaku Samed won via TKO against his opponent Omar Hassibu. Light welter weight bout,Azumah Muhammad won against Eric Quam.
Middle weight Emmanuel Cato won against his opponent Kojo Antwi by a T.K.O which had the crowd cheering. This bout was said by many of the boxing fans who were present at the venue to be one of the most interesting bouts of the day
In Light weight bout, Jessie Lartey won against his opponent Gabriel Quao. This bout had the boxing officials and fans that were present at the venue on their feet due to the boxing skills displayed by the young and gifted boxer Jessie Lartey.
Mathias Sulley Nguah won against his opponent Majid Quaye. Despite the loss,Majid Quaye displayed some awesome defensive skills,but Mathias Sulley Nguah was able to defeat him.
Theo Edwin Addo a member of the new GABF executive was sure that the boys will deliver in September if they are given the right training and camping as well as acclaimitisation.
