Ghana Weightlifting Federation salutes Ben Nunoo Mensah

The Ghana Weightlifting Federation [GWF] has congratulated Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah as the newly elected President of the Ghana Olympic Committee [GOC].

A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Federation, Mr. Ken Odeng Adade on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 reads:

“The Patrons, Executive Board and Management Committees of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) wish to congratulate the President of the Federation, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, on his election as the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).”

“It is our believe that Mr. Nunoo Mensah will bring his rich experience in sports administration to bear on the operations of the GOC in order to growth and development Ghana Sports,” the statement added.

Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, a former College Senior Prefect of St. Augustine’s College is also an Executive Board Member of the Weightlifting Federation of Africa [WFA].

Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah pulled a magnificent 33 votes to beat incumbent, Professor Francis Dodoo [28] in a heated election organized on Wednesday.
