Why the Fuss about NPP's 'Begging Politi
Submitted on 2008-12-22 17:11:32

I listened to Ghana's president J.A Kufuor on Saturday at the Women's Aglow International Prayer Meeting. He stated that being the human as he is there is no way he would not offend any one during his 8 year reign of the country, that's why he has been going round asking those he had offended to forgive him.

For me I see in him a person who is humble and ready to admit that all has not gone well with his reign. I therefore see no reason why people are trying to give a political twist to that as some are wont to give his message. In any case I would be very glad if anyone anywhere can supply me the name of any leader ever in this world who didn't offend anyone and as such was perfect.

Even Jesus Christ (substitute with your faith's prophet) would be viewed by those he drove from the church for trading there as offending them. So how much more a mere mortal like JAK?

But one thing I can suggest to the President is instead of making a general and blanket statement about those he has offended, he should give us a list of some of these offences. I'm sure his ministers and other followers can give him such a list.

Why Couldnt the NPP win 'One-Touch
Submitted on 2008-12-22 16:54:28

I've been brooding over this issue for quite a while now and don't seem to be getting the answer. The issue that has been agitating my mind since the first round of the Ghana general elections held on the 7th December is: Why was the NPP unable to win the elections 'one-touch' as they had professed to do?

Was it that the Ghanaian electorate were dissatisfied with their performance as compared to that of the NDC from 93-2000? Or was it that the NPP could not really project it's programmes and achievements to the electorate?

On the other hand, was it that the NDC used a lot of propaganda which were bought by the Ghanaian electorate? Or was it that they had a better strategy?

I await responses / contributions from my readers. Thank you
