Is there anything more distressing than the unhappiness felt in the distant sound of a wailing child?

O how I wish
I had the wisdom to accept then
What I could not accept
And which led to your departure
But which I now accept
Long after the event!
"Humankind’s Folly!"
It is extraordinary that humankind thinks that it is the planet Earth that is imperiled by global warming – when it is humanity itself that faces possible extinction
The earth will eventually recover from the most egregious of environmental degradation and continue its cosmic journey – long after all the world’s living creatures have disappeared!
