Zaqioo to stir up the Ghanaian music industry again

It’s been a while since we heard of Zaqioo years he release his second album which did not break through in the music industry.

Zaqioo is an original member of Nature & Agony. Yes you heard me right, the group that also had Tinny as a member.

Zaqioo has been lucky to be hand-picked by Mr. Richard Akyiaw aka Godfather, CEO of Data Integrity Records to be a part of his celebrated label, Data Integrity Records.

Since joining the label, Zaqioo has promised to stir up the Ghanaian music scene with the release of his album, “Awuoo”.

However, being a veteran of the hiplife game means he has to live up to high standards and not also fail his old and new fans with artistes like Tinny, Nayanka, David, 2 Sure, Santrofi, ,Borax and Hesty and more on his album.

I bet after reading the article fans worldwide will have their eyes on Zaqioo, queuing to buy his CD.

Ghana Music.com caught up with the Richard, manager of Zaqioo to get some insight into the artiste that many are counting on to be the future of hiplife music.

“Dayman Nii Amon Kotey aka Zaqioo, a son of Ghana and a real foot soldier comes from the camp of Data Integrity Records (DIR) which is based in Madina”, Charles said.

“The young and innocent looking Zaqioo started his music career in 1991 at the National Theatre leading to a group called Nature & Agony. They came out with their first album titled “Twaaso” in 1998, which became thunderous in the country and beyond, mostly in Accra & Kumasi. They came out with their second album, which could not penetrate through the market. He then paused his music career to study for a while but now he is back with a banger like Busta Rhymes coming back with Dr Dre to hit the streets and beyond”, Charles continued.

Speaking to Charles he said “Mr. Richard Akyiaw of CEO of Data Integrity Records saw talent in him and has promised to brighten his talent for all Ghanaians to see”.
