Prophet Stephen Atta Nyamekye delivers fresh a new style of praise and worship on debut gospel CD

If ever there was a gospel CD worth listening to…this is it! Prophet Stephen Atta Nyamekye truly delivers a fresh, new sound that draws you to not just the music but also in the presence of the Lord. With his jazzy, tear-jerking delivery and Christ-centred lyrics, this CD is sure to please even the most conservative music lover.

This is the best Twi, Ga, Ewe and English praise and worship album, the Ghanaian music industry has received from Prophet Stephen Atta Nyamekye, the new entrant.

His diversity is showcased on his album, “Din Bi Woho”, which is a collection of 22 songs perfectly reflecting his eclectic musical attitude, and exhibiting his commanding vocal prowess. The CD was produced by his better half, Mrs Monica Nyamekye.

Prophet Stephen Atta Nyamekye is a sublime talent who combines a melting pot of influences to create an astounding and unique sound. He fuses his classical upbringing, gospel, blues, jazz and praise into a style he has created.

On the worship side of the album are songs like “Obiara Nse No”, “Yesu Kristo Ye Agyenkwa”, “Yeyi Wo Aye Awurade”, “Ade Nyinaa Foforo”, “Nneye Bebrebe, Nea Woaye Ama Me”, “Onyame Boafo Ee” as well as the title track, “Din Bi Woho” among others.

“It is good for humans to realise the power of God through His ability to do all things and worship Him with their songs. This helps you forget about the world’s problems and focus on God who is the provider”, he said.

The biggest influence on Prophet Stephen’s music, and indeed his whole life, must be his faith and his love for his creator, the Almighty God. He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in 1997 and shortly afterwards found the creativity that has led to his current success. He found his way at the Jesus Miracle Ministry International at Sowutuom in Accra but for now he is the head worship pastor at his own local church - Miracle House Prayer Ministry based at Kasoa.

The other song titles are “Oseeye”, “Yesu Aye Me Odehye”, “Eye M’Anigye Se”, “Mongye Ndi”, “Praise The Lord”, “MiaKpor Dzidzor”, “Mala” and “What Singing There’d Be Up There”.

Prophet Stephen was born on 5th June, 1973 in Kumasi, Prophet Stephen did not have things easy as he had to hustle his way to the top and has been involved with music since infancy. In 1997, Prophet Stephen started to take his art more seriously. He had soon found himself leading praise and worship at church and also evangelising too
