Shegee’s time a mystery

Music in Ghana is one considered to be a job for the guys and not favorable for ladies. So far it is only the gospel arena which has embraced ladies without any hard feelings because the ladies in the hip life genre will tell you the atrocities. They have to go through before coming out with an album. With all these difficulties, one lady has weathered the storm to the next level.

The super dupa talented musician and beautician Shegee, born Mildred Mark Hasan needs no introduction into  the music game since Ghanaians know much about her in the days of Triple M, a musical group made up of three female singers. The girls had the letter “M” beginning their names so the four have to choose the name Triple M.

It is indeed not really common for a female artiste, especially in the hiplife genre to come out with so much confidence and passion to be the best among the rest in a male dominate industry. Though she explain it has not been easy, she has grown from one level to another and still moving strong. Shegee separated from the female dominated group and decided to do a solo album. Her first solo album had a track from 2face [brother to sister heeaa]. It did very well in the music scene receiving maximum air play both on radio and TV.

In an exclusive interview with Shegee at her Dansoman, she stated that her style is different from another hiplife artiste in Ghana and has really shocked many music lovers in Ghana because her music is vibrating from different rhythms like hiplife, lovers rock and R&B.

Shegee calls her album “My Time” and it raises a question from the Flex Flex reporter.

Attractive: You have been out several time so is it your time?

She said my time has come for the whole world to know more about me. I have tested the different shades of music and now is my time to show the world what I have been hiding all this while. Sheegee continued that, her album is now out with 10 videos having distribution in Nigeria, Togo and Ghana. She will be touring the whole country soon to introduce the album to all his fans, one interesting track on the album is “Zinzima”.

She revealed that her management team has chosen to do only TV promotion, payola is killing the industry that is why the album is not popular on radio. According to her, she said her management is not ready to be part of that payola craze going on in the music world especially Ghana.

The increasing popularity of Shegee has been made through artist like King Ayisoba, Tony Harmony, 2face of Nigeria and many more. Shegee does not have any role model but admires people like Rap Doctor, Attractive, Sarkodia and all hip life rulers in the country.

For those who are ignorant about this fact, the secret about Shegee is that , she will be going into movies very soon. Her love for the movie world will be exhibited very soon on your TV screen since she is in touch with some movie producers and directors to come out with her first movie.

She climaxed the interview by cleaning the rumours about her dating issue with Tony Harmony and King Ayisoba.:”I have my own sweety lover I am dating, Ayisoba is married and Tony is not going out with me so why all these rumours, there is no truth in that”, Shegee told her fans.

Shegee did not hide her gratitude but acknowledged people like Nii, Jane, Luu, Magic Records, Jay Q, Ro Q , Attractive, Agyingo and everybody who have help her out.
