I Have Grabbed Hiplife Says Mr. Whyte

Since he sang on Tinny's 'Obi Do Ba', Mr. Whyte, one of Ghana's Finest singers has been widely soughted after and regarded as the true vocalist on the Ghanaian music industry and has promised to leave an indelible mark on the hiplife scene.

In a hiplife world where rapping dominates, Mr. Whyte has fought his way to longevity and respect. And with the plenty of respect he's got from featuring on Tinny's album and Hammer's compilation, Mr. Whyte has stepped into the hiplife game and will be soon coming out with his own album very soon.

Mr. Whyte who started his singing from infancy by acting as a tape player where his friends would just press the play button on his face and he would sing any song from any language be it Ewe, Ga, Twi, English alongside some funky and danceable beats.

On his upcoming debut album,  Mr. Whyte has the distinction of being one of the best Ghanaian artistes to have record deal with Warner Bros very soon. Mr. Whyte's easy flow and laid-back rhythms will be about life, love, reality, society happenings and advice.

Ranging from all the genres of Ghanaian music, Mr. Whyte's debut album titled 'Ma Som'. "I have grabbed hiplife and no one will take it away from me. I can sing in hiplife, hip-hop and highlife, so you see am all around. ", Mr. Whyte explains the the title of the album. He also features incredibly talented young artistes like Okra, Bandana, Motia and Skrach on his 10 songs album.

He got much attention for the offstage antics, he did when he participated Methodist Funfairs when he sang and danced, also on the entertainment committee of St. Peters Secondary and his friends who gathered around him.

With a spotlight squarely coming on him very soon after he releases his maiden album, Mr. Whyte wants to make sure that music lovers purchase the best album, hence the album's title. ""Music is me and I'm music and nobody can take it out of me," Mr. Whyte explains. "I want to be like a topic on very one's lips. Am going to be the reason for 2005 and 2005 will be my year".

Mr. Whyte has a gospel song, which I entreat every one to get when the album comes out. He sets the gospel song off by explaining about his suffering and what God has made him.

With the huge demand for his music in the streets, it should come as no surprise as Mr. Mr. Whyte raps or does a hip hop tune as his album has become a hot commodity on the music market throughout the world as his album is being wanted by Warner Bros.

"I was known when I featured on Tinny's 'Obi Do Ba' album. And I was happy that people knew me as the one who sang 'Obi Do Ba'," he tells us about the background of Tinny's Obi Do Ba. "Am bringing the original single of 'Obi Do Ba' very soon". It sounds as if a missing piece of the puzzle is missing from Mr. Whyte which is the 'Obi Do Ba' track which is supposed to be a singing song.

With his experience and his respect within the music industry, he is ready to take advantage of his prized standing as singer and says, "Ghana has accepted him and he's going to blast the world". "I know I've got the stuff that will sell itself. If you know what is good you don't boost about it", Mr. Whyte tells why people should purchase his album.

Mr. Whyte better known is real life as name is Nana Kofi Frimpong is glad his parents are in support of his music career and wants to tell them that he wants to do music before going continue his schooling.
