Janet Amponsah obliterates National 200m INDOOR Record With a 23.67 sec clocking!!!!
Ghana sprinter Janet Amponsah chalked another milestone after breaking the national 200m indoor national record with a 23.67 clocking at the University of New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Saturday.

The African 4x100m relay bronze medalist’s new record surpasses her own previous national 200m indoor mark of 23.81secs set on March 7, 2014. Her time is also faster than Vida Nsiah’s previous mark of 23.76 secs which was set on an “oversized” indoor track in 1998.
Amponsah, who is a student of Western Texas College, has had an impressive indoor season after being named NJCAA National Athlete of the week, setting a national record in the 55m meter dash , and lowering that time further with a remarkable 6.93s clocking, which currently ranks her 5th in the world.
Meanwhile, sprinter Flings Owusu-Agyapong produced another impressive 7.26 performance over 60m to clinch third place in the US Grand Prix at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on Saturday.
There were as many as about 20 personal best feats across disciplines over the weekend.
