John Mensah claims injury recovery

Ghana captain John Mensah says he is fit to play again after recovering from a long-standing thigh injury.

The 30-year-old worsened his thigh problem during the semi-final clash between Ghana and Zambia in the 2012 African Cup of Nations hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Galatasary target has mutually terminated his contract with French outfit Olympique Lyon after featuring only once last season.

The strong–centre back says he has fully recovered from the injury and eager to get onto the pitch.

“I believe that I will come back strongly from my injury. Right now I am back from my injury,” Mensah told Radio XYZ

“I thank God for my comeback and I am going to work hard so I can stay on my feet.

“ I want to play more matches for my nation and take my team to a higher place,”
