Maxwell Konadu vows to help Avram Grant succeed as Ghana coach

Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has assured his new boss Avram Grant of his unflinching support.

Konadu guided the team to clinch qualification for next year’s finals in Equatorial Guinea after Kwesi Appiah was sacked in September.

But the former Kotoko coach was disinterested in taking over the job on a permanent contract.

The Ghana FA went on to appoint Grant and tasked him to lead the Black Stars at the upcoming tournament despite having limited time to prepare.

Konadu says he will give Grant his all to ensure the Black Stars triumph at the AFCON.

“We will all have to support the coach to succeed,” Konadu told TV 3.

“If he fails, we have all failed and if he succeeds Ghana has succeeded, we are all desperate to avoid another failure and that’s why we have to help him.”
