Banku for WBF eliminator on Dec. 30

Ghana’s Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko has been handed a life line in his quest for a world title with a World Boxing Federation (WBF), eliminator on December 30, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kamoko, according to Super Entertainment Boxing Promotions (SEBP), will fight Brazil-based South African boxer Thabiso Mogale in a Cruiserweight bout that will see the winner making an attempt at the WBF title in Australia next year.

The Ghanaian, who is undefeated in 27 bouts with 20 knock-outs, has been tipped to defeat the South African, who has fought 32 times, with 15 victories, 15 defeats and two draws.

Also expected on the bill is a light middleweight clash involving the hard-hitting Joshua Clottey - a former winner of the World Boxing Federation (WBF), International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental and Commonwealth welterweight titles.

Clottey, who wields a record of 28 wins (KO 17) with four losses and a draw, takes on 38-year-old veteran of the ring Adriano Dos Santos of Brazil in a Lightweight bout.

In other fights under the card, Michael “Powers” Ayitey, will battle with Atoli Moore in a Light Heavyweight clash, whilst John Amuzu engages Ray Commey in a Super Bantamweight contest, with Ben Odametey taking on Samuel Turkson in a Lightweight contest.

According to the organizers, Super Entertainment Record label will give the audience a memorable treat on the night.
