Duncan to reignite Hearts and Olympics rivalry

Head coach of Accra Great Olympics has revealed his desire to reignite the age old rivalry between his Club and Hearts of Oak.

Prior to their demotion to the first division, Great Olympics was a constant threat to their city rivals Hearts of Oak an action the pulled many supporters to the stadium anytime they both had to engage each other in either a league match or a friendly match.

The most talked about rivalry in Ghana football is between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, but for Duncan Olympics is coming out strong in the coming season and will wrestle the Phobians for to a good fight in any competition.

“It is my wish and desire to bring back that age old rivalry between these two great Clubs, because the league needs that excitement once more”, Coach Duncan told sportscrusader.com on Friday morning at its training grounds at the El-Wak sports stadium in Accra.

“Everyday its Hearts and Kotoko and the fans I feel are tired, and would want something fresh and exciting again. And we as a club are determined to them that great feeling once again.”

“Its going to be exciting and I believe the fans are also looking forward to local derbies between the two Clubs.”

“Match between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak go way back and both fans have been starved for a long time. I believe that we will have to produce performances that will help in that direction”.
