Eric Bekoe signs for Olympics

Exclusive information available to Sportscrusader indicates that former Asante Kotoko and Petrojet attacker, Eric Kwabena Bekoe has penned down a two-year contract with newly promoted Premiership club, Accra Great Olympics.

Grapevine sources close to both the player and the club have it that the two parties have agreed that the player will sign a two-year contract with the Accra-based club for two years but will be eligible for transfer to any foreign club that makes an offer for him.

The 2008 Ghana Premier league goal king who scored 17 goals was transferred to Petrojet of Egypt from Kumasi Asante Kotoko after the 2007/08 league season.

Bekoe became the toast of the technical team as well as the fans of the club when he bagged 19 goals out of 36 appearances for the club. When the management of Petrojet was changed, the player decided to return to Asante Kotoko on a season’s loan but was hugely disappointed by the then management of Asante Kotoko in 2012.

Eric Bekoe finally settled with Berekum Chelsea for two years only to sit out of the team during the 2013/14 season with a broken leg.

The prolific striker intends to test his pulse and prove his critics wrong with his new deal, he indicated during an earlier interview.
