Ex-Kotoko coach Uzum linked with Medeama job

Ex-Kotoko coach Telat Uzum has been linked with the vacant coaching job at Medeama.

The Turkish trainer is being mooted as the replacement for Carlos Roberto Paullete who has resigned from the club, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

According to reports in the local media, the former Real Tamale United coach is under consideration and could be appointed in the next couple of weeks.

Uzum is not new to Ghana football following coaching stints with giants Kotoko and relegated Real Tamale United.

Medeama are believed to be in the market scouring for a new trainer following the resignation of Paullete and his assistant Stephen Abugri.

Abugri has signed a long-term deal with capital-based side Hearts of Oak in a move which has angered the Tarkwa-based side following contractual disagreement.

Uzum is believed to the ideal man to propel the side challenge for honours in the upcoming season and could be in the country to hold discussions with the club.

The German-based tactician has never hidden his intention to return to the African country and has insisted in the past of completing a job he started at Kotoko.
