Essien keen on winning titles with AC Milan

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien says he is delighted to have officially signed for Italian giants AC Milan and is looking forward to winning with the Rossoneri.

The 31-year-old completed his move from Chelsea to the Diavolo on Monday after he signed a contract that will keep him at Milan until June 2015.

Essien wrote on his official Twitter page and expressed his happiness in becoming a Rossoneri player, while also conceding that he feels the Serie A side is one of the best teams in the world.

“Just signed my contract to join one of the best clubs in the world,” wrote the Ghanaian international.

“I’m very happy and I’m looking forward to winning with the team. Forza Milan.” Michael Essien scored 17 goals in his 168 Premier League appearances for Chelsea from 2005-14 and left the club just once on loan to Real Madrid during the 2012-13 season, where he scored two goals in his 20 appearances for the Spanish side.
