  This is nothing than De Sa playing witchcraft on Dauda. The coach don't have any good intention even to give the needed right training for Dauda to get off the bench. The coach has a dubious plan of never wanting to see Dauda excel in any with the Pirates. Don' underestimate his statement of telling Dauda to go find playing time elsewhere. This is pure witchcraft.
  On Dauda's side, I will urge him to pray very hard to his God. The good news is that Sa's witchcraft will not prevail.

  Who tells you that Dauda is better than Kwarasey? Having a bad day in a match or two does not make one a bad player. Ghana is lacking good goalkeepers otherwise Dauda should not have been anywhere closer to BS.

  In as much as I sympathised with the way Dauda is been potrayed by the coach, I have to add that, this guy still have a lot to do when it comes to goalkeeping. Having watched him on some few ocassions, I can say for sure that, the coach is right. I am not sure if a coach would always bench his best players for whatever reasons. Then unless, that coach don´t want the best for his team. Nobody can also convience me that, Dauda is better than Kwarasay. If it is not the usual thing as somebody has said, why should it be Dauda, instead of Kwarasay, who is playing every match for his team? Is it not true that practise makes man perfect? Kwasi Appiah should be very carefull when it comes to issues such as these. The guy is not active in his team becasue he can not make the grade. Let´s forget him and get somebody better period! There are lots of shot stoppers out there. The earlier, the better.Time is not on our side.

  He has not had many challenging moments perhaps because of the tight defence. But Stephen Adams has proved to be a very good goalkeeper with a pair safe of hands. Among other things he is calm and positions himself very well. I was told his weakness was with aerial balls. But I have been watching how he deals with such balls and I must say I think his timing and judgement of the trajectory of aerial balls has been excellent. I think Akwasi Appiah needs to take a serious look at him together with the 2 central defenders; Nuru Sulley and Kwabena Edusei.

Kwarasey should be Ghana's first choice; he has more international exposure playing in Europe and he's doing well. Coach Kwasi Appiah and Maxwell Konadu should intervene quickly by putting their feet on the ground else Black Stars will be shocked in the WC-2014. We shouldn't put round pegs into round holes; it doesn't work that way!

  firstly the gfa must invite dauda, kwarasey, daniel adgei, ahmed adams and possibly kingson.
  secondly the gfa must appoint joseph carr and simon addo in place of nasamu yakubu.
  then performance at training should be used to pick the 1st 3.

  i may not know the history you just recollected. i do remember reading that in between the time joseph carr left hasaacas and joined kotoko he was practicing his trade in nigeria as a welder.

  i may not know the history you just recollected. i do remember reading that in between the time joseph carr left hasaacas and joined kotoko he was practicing his trade in nigeria as a welder.
  But let me say that both as a goal keeper and as a goal keepers trainer, hardly can we find a suitable competitor for joseph carr in ghana. for the almost 10 years that he was with kotoko as a goal keepers'trainer, kotoko churned out some impressive goal keepers.
  The flaws that edward ansah, abukari damba and nasamu yakubu displayed during their days as goalkeepers were not seen with Joseh Carr.
  My worry is that notwithstanding the very high standards of richard kingson, at a point in time we started complaining of certain flaws. kwarasey was on the high in norway when we brought him down but not long after there was massive complaints about his performance necessitating the reintroduction of dauda fatau who impressed so well @ the beginning then a little later ghanaians are complaining. I believe we must change the trainers too. and the change should be either joseph carr or simon addo

First of all Owusu Mensah assumed the number 1 role because prior to Libya ghana played in a tournament in Benin. ghana conceded 5 goals with Carr in post. that was when the handlers started looking seriously owusu mensah. if really carr faked injury, did the second string goalkeeper john baker who joined the blackstars in the mid seventies also faked injury? mind you that was the point some regular defenders were also relegated to the bench. seth ampadu was quickly replaced by then relatively unknown sampson lamptey. hesse & kwesi appiah sat on the bench and then surfaced a certain kwame sampson. the team was being given a youthful face.
  On the issue of Joseph Carr being corrupt, rasheed i think you are overstretching the matter. At the time if a relatively modest educated Carr said that double registration could be done he said it in a certain context. Rasheed do you remember that in 1982, emmanuel Quarshie was a foreign-based player, yet captained blackstars in Libya and then later in the year captained hasaccas against spartan club of owerri in the first leg of the finals of the WAFU cup but did not play in the second leg because he had to go join his club outside?
  do you also remember that in 1979, Polo played for Hearts against blackpool of Sierra Leone in Accra in the 2nd leg of the africn clubs championship cup and left immediately thereafter although he has registered for a club outside in 1978?
  So double registration may not be good but at that time it was happening and when joseph was caught in the web, he did not know he has done something wrong.
  Unless you are very youngman, you can recall that in 1980 an asante kotoko team comprising the dreadful kofi badu, led by opoku afriyie, asase, papa ako, seth ampadu, francis kumi etc decended on accra sprots stadium to unleash a very distasteful defeat on hearts whick kotoko fans so cherished until the emergence of a certain ishmael addo? edward ansah was in post. my elder brother told me then that edward ansah and robert tetteh came on the pitch with so much antics and fanfare but 3 goal were whisked past edward ansah. so embarrassing was it that he quickly went into hiding in nigeria and resurfaced a decade later with very heavy publicity to assume the number 1 spot when a lot of people or new journalist do not know how poor he is except that ghana at the time was welcoming any player who is foreign based. rasheed remmenber that abdulai traore once said that as for edward ansah he traore will stand in the centre of the pitch and score against him and that came to past at the kumasi sports stadium. It was those poor performance that made coaches to start considering youngsters like anthony osei kwadwo and simon addo at club and national team levels.
  DO you know an incident in ghana football coded the tlemcen disaster? damba was disaster in that match. rasheed let me tell you that ghana did produce some goal keepers in the 90s who were very imposing but very flawed - edward ansah, salifu ansah, damba, nanabenyin crentsil, nasamu yakubu etc. ghana's best goalkeepers were produced in the 70s because they drew inspiration from robert mensah largely: joseph carr, sam ampeh, lante france, fuseini, abdulai chesko, sam suppey, awudu nelson, ibrahim lanquaye, botwe etc.
  what seemed to have worked in favour of edward ansah, damba and nasamu to assume goalkeepers trainer roles is largely that they are fairly educated, could speak very fluent english and largely submissive. thats what nyantakyi likes.
  rasheed you cannnot tell me that isaac amoako, suliama, goerge owu, louis quinoo, etc did not keep the kotoko post very well during the last ten years that joseh carr was with kotoko as a goal keepers trainer.
  Rasheed i think you are protecting the job for the current goal keepers trainer thst is why you are attacking joseph carr. the current goal keepers trainer was not good enough to merit a blackstars call up during his playing days.
  lastly the 3 goal keepers trainers namely edward ansah, damba and nasamu have flaws. one evidence is that any goalkeeper brought into the blackstars would have been impressing at club level before brought to the blackstars. indeed when they come they impress in thier earlier outings then later they star displaying the flaws these trainers were displaying during their playing days then the whole nation starts criticisng the goal keepers for poor performance while these trainers escape blame

Carr was in post against Togo in the first match and we played 5-5,despite his poor performance he kept the posts to till we won the cup against the same Togo.The handlers never thought of Owusu Mensah as you claimed. Carr was supposed to be in posts in Libya and I think he was scared of what happened in Benin, and he feigned injury. It seems Baker who was the second keeper was of out of shape or something like that. Therefore the handlers had no choice but to fall on Owusu Mensah. If you doubt me, you can find out.

I believe they have the facilities and infrastructure but honestly, they probably play favorites in that league. There is no excuse for them being eliminated from CHAN at the group stages. Meanwhile, we see that Adams is shining for Ghana at CHAN. If Dauda stayed in Ghana this could have been his tournament and he could have seriously locked down the starting goalie position.

  De Sa said Dauda is not good at training; the same way Kwarasey is not good at BlackStar training. Coach Appiah and Konadu are not fools to be fielding Dauda. They see what many don't see in terms of performance at training. I'll rather prefer Daniel Adjei to Kwarasey because he has tournament experience from World under 20 cup where he won gold.
