It's My Decision Not To Join Black Stars - Johnson

Former Black Stars’ Midfielder, Samuel Johnson is reported to have said that, it is his decision not to respond to the call on him by Ghanaian officials, to join the senior national team.

Samuel Johnson, who was addressing the press on his future plans for his club Fernabache, was quoted as saying, “they are always calling me up and they will carry on doing that, but I am the person who does not go”. The former Stars’ player stated that, for reasons he cannot say, he has no thoughts of playing for Ghana at the moment.

He blamed Ghanaian Football officials for disliking people who point out wrong things, which he Sam Johnson is fond of doing. He said, he is currently thinking of how to help his club Fernabache win the UEFA cup, with the signing on of Argentine’s striker, Ariel Ortega to join the Turkish Club.

Johnson also said he faces immigration problems anytime he travels around Europe because of a wanted criminal who bears his name but that would not let him change the name he’s used through out his life. The utility player last played for Hearts of Oak. His last game for the Black Stars was against Sierra Leone in the 2004 World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
